Just Chillin'

"Finally, a minute's peace," Marluxia said as he sat down across from Larxene, his ipod already in his hand. Larxene looked up, one eyebrow raised, as her fingers deftly paused the game she was playing. "So you have to come disturb mine?" she asked, although not without a small smile.

Marluxia shrugged, tapping the GBA with one finger and changing the subject. "What are you playing, Larx?" In answer, Larxene turned the handheld around, letting Marluxia catch a glimpse of himself in sprite form, paused on the screen. "What do you think? I'm playing Chain of Memories." The smile on her lips grew wicked. "It's really interesting to find out just exactly what kind of lies those guys at Squeenix dreamed up about us."

Marluxia raised one eyebrow, looking interested in spite of himself. "Such as?"
"Such as killing you off, Mar-Mar," Larxene said off-handedly, unpausing the game. Marluxia's eyes widened, and he snorted. "Well, since I'm not dead, I think they screwed that one up," he said sarcastically, putting his lime-green earbuds into his ears and leaning back against the slowly whirling wall.

Larxene grinned, shaking her head as her eyes roved over the game, fingers clicking the buttons quietly. She didn't even look up as Marluxia continued, the faint strains of some classical composer drifting away from his headphones.

"They got Kingdom Hearts kind of right. We can at least come to the KH Corridor and get away from AXEL for a while." He sounded so utterly disgusted that it was almost certain he had recently been the subject of one prank or another.

Larxene's only response was a soft laugh, and then the two were silent, seeking peace from the ever-swirling walls of the Corridor and their own small pastimes.

Plus it didn't hurt that they were there together.

So it's fan-art. So what?

My hiatus is only semi-over, seeing as I've got about 4 more pieces I've still got to finish. But I'm getting there. Slowly but surely.
